Vladimír Kocourek is a full professor of the Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology, University of Chemistry and Technology (UCT Prague) and he works also as a quality manager of the accredited testing laboratory of the Department of Food Analysis and Nutrition.

Member of Technical Committee for chemical analyses of the Czech Accreditation Institute, technical expert for testing laboratory assessment (auditor). Czech Journal of Food Science – member of editorial board.  International symposium on Recent Advances in Food Analysis – member of Organizing committee 2003-2019. Participation in international (EU FP7, COST) and national research projects, administration and coordination of research activities, quality management.
